March 12, 2010 — ECE alumni Neal Patwari, Randolph Moses, and Neiyer Correal have received a best paper award from IEEE Signal Processing Magazine for “Locating the Nodes: Cooperative localization in wireless sensor networks” (read on IEEEXplore).
Patwari, who received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Virginia Tech in 1997 and 1999, is an asssistant professor at The University of Utah. Moses is a professor at The Ohio State University; he received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees at Tech in 1979, 1980, and 1984. Correal, a 1999 Ph.D. graduate from Tech, is a Distinguished Member of Motorola's Technical Staff.
