New Unmanned Systems Group taps multidisciplinary expertise

Experts in autonomous and remote-controlled vehicle technology from across the university have formed the Virginia Tech Unmanned Systems Group (USG) to further advancements in aerospace, ground, and underwater vehicles.

The group, which spans almost all the disciplines in engineering, also includes researchers from entomology, geography, psychology, and forestry. ECE faculty members include Daniel Stilwell, Michael Hsiao, and Lynn Abbott.
