ECE 4206 Electronic Circuit Design (3C)
Stability and response of feedback amplifier, wideband amplifier, operational amplifier characteristics, waveform generators and wave shaping, nonlinear circuit applications, signal generators, and photolithography. Design of analog electronic circuits, circuit simulation, response characterization, and printed circuit construction.
What is the reason for this course?
Electronic circuit design using discrete and integrated circuits is one of the most practical courses for electronic design engineers. This course fully utilizes knowledge learned in all the fundamental electric and electronic circuits for advanced circuit modeling, design, and simulation. Throughout this course, students will gain practical circuit design skills and apply them to real-world electronic product development.
Capstone Technical Elective for EE; Technical Elective for CPE. Typically offered: Spring. Program Area: Electronics.
Prerequisites: C- or better in 4205.
Why are these prerequisites or corequisites required?
This course requires EE3204, which, along with its prerequisite EE2204, provide the student with basic skill for electronic circuit analysis. Students need to be familiar with semiconductor devices circuit behavior, nodal and loop analyses, superposition theory, time- and frequency-domain analyses for transfer functions, and feedback theory.
