ECE 4144 Introduction to Optical Information Processing (3C)
Modern wave optics. The application of Fourier transforms to image analysis, optical spatial filtering and image processing.
What is the reason for this course?
Use of optical techniques for information processing is a growing field.
Technical Elective. Typically offered: Spring. Program Area: Electromagnetics.
Prerequisites: C- or better in 3106.
Why are these prerequisites or corequisites required?
Electromagnetic wave propagation as in 3106 and Fourier transforms as in 3714
