Undergraduate Research

"There are so many research opportunities ...I'd recommend that students let the faculty know if they are interested in helping."

-Stephen Nash, who served as team leader for the FNET team.

ECE's strong research program provides students with a variety of opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the department's cutting-edge laboratories.

Depending upon their interests and abilities, undergraduates can often participate in many ways, including design, measuring, construction, animation, and programming.

Sometimes large research efforts can use a number of undergraduate assistants and they will be advertised in the appropriate classes or posted on the student listserve. Most opportunities, however, arise when an interested student approaches a research project with strong interest and proven ability.
