Minoring in Another Field

Students often develop a minor study program in another field. Recent ECE minors have included philosophy, graphic design, music, economics, and physics.

Math minor
Due to the strong math requirements in ECE, students can earn a minor in math with just 2 additional courses at or above the 3000 level. Students interested in pursuing theoretical studies in graduate school, are encouraged to develop a math minor.

See the Math section of the ungdergraduate catalogue. See also the math minor checksheet.

Computer Science Minor
CPE students can earn a minor in computer science with just 2 additional courses in computer science at or above the 3000 level. A minimum grade of C is required in all CS minor courses.

For information, see the CS minor for CPE majors and the CS minor checksheet.
