The Micron Scholarship application form can be accessed only during the designated application period (usually early in the spring semester).
Micron scholarships, provided by the Micron Foundation of Micron technologies Inc., are available to rising juniors in ChemE, CpE, EE, and MSE who are interested in a career in microelectronics. Demonstration of interest requires that you be registered for the Minor in Microelectronic Engineering (MEEN). Eligibility will be determined by your current class enrollment and not by the number of credit hours you have accumulated. Check the checksheet for your major and verify that next fall, for the most part, you will be taking courses as described for the fall semester junior year. If in doubt, please see Professor Hendricks (ECE) or Professor Kampe (MSE) for assistance.
Several scholarships will be available each year to students in ChemE/MSE and ECE. Each scholarship is for $5000 per year for two years, and may be renewed for a third year if extra time is required to complete the minor. These are among the most prestigious scholarships in the College of Engineering.
