2/23/12 We've open-sourced our Bluespec Implementation for a secp112r1 ECDLP engine. This design will be presented at SHARCS 2012 in Washington next month.

1/6/12 Happy New Year! I made a new release of GEZEL (2.5.11). 64-bit support is now included for Ubuntu Lucid & Oneiric. Last semester, my HW/SW codesign course used GEZEL on the Altera DE2-115 board.

Systems is out! The submission deadline is 5 March

8/18/11 Our SHA-3 chip, with the round-3 candidates, is operational. Even better, you can get yours for free. The chip is pin-compatible with the ASIC socket on a SASEBO-R board.
8/1/11 Secure Embedded Systems Virginia Tech has several open research positions, both at the graduate level as well as at the undergrauate level.
7/12/11 We've released a new set of FPGA variability measurements. We now have data for 193 FPGA's available for download.
6/17/11 Zhimin Chen successfully passed his final examination and becomes the first PhD graduate from the Secure Embedded Systems group!
2/17/11 I did a talk on "Specialized Cryptanalytic Machines: Two examples, sixty years apart". Our CESCA Video Team recorded it and put the talk online. The slides are online as well.
