About me

I joined the ECE department at Virginia Tech in August 2005. I received the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in 2004, and the MS degree in Computer Science from Rijksuniversiteit Ghent, Belgium in 1990. Before coming to Virginia Tech, I was a researcher with UCLA's Embedded Security group. From 1992 to 2001, I was a researcher with the Inter-university Micro-Electronics Center (IMEC) in Belgium.

News I am program co-chair for MEMOCODE 2009 together with Roderick Bloem, TU Graz.
  • The seventh MEMOCODE conference will gather researchers and practitioners who create methods, tools, and architectures for hardware/software systems.
  • MEMOCODE 2009 will host the MEMOCODE co-design contest, organized by James Hoe (CMU) and Forest Brewer (UCSB).
  • The MEMOCODE 2009 conference will be held from July 13-15, 2009 in Cambridge, MA.
Research

My research interests are design methods and architectures for secure embedded systems.
