Configurable Computing Lab
Configurable computing machines provide the computational performance benefits of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), yet retain the flexibility and rapid reconfigurability of general purpose microprocessors. Applications include e-textiles, 1-D and 2-D signal processing, image processing, simulation acceleration, and scientific computing. www.ccm.ece.vt.edu/ |
e-Textile Laboratory
Researchers are involved with developing theory and technology for wearable computers and large-scale sensor networks using fabrics that have electronics and interconnections woven into them. www.ccm.ece.vt.edu/etextiles/ |
Systems Software Research Group
The research group works to develop software systems that are scalable, efficient, and reliable. Research areas include operating systems, distributed systems, real-time systems, virtualization, language run-times, compilers, middleware, and networks. www.ssrg.ece.vt.edu |
