Sandeep Shukla was awarded the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), the highest national honor for researchers in the early stages of their careers. Shukla is a leading researcher in designing, analyzing and predicting performance of electronic systems embedded on a chip. Shukla joined ECE in 2002, and established the FERMAT research lab (Formal Engineering Research with Models, Abstractions, and Transformations). He received an NSF CAREER award in 2003.
