May 11, 2011 – EE senior David Mazur of Pittsburgh, Pa, has been named one of the three top graduates in the College of Engineering's Class of 2011. Mazur has been accepted into ECE’s graduate program in power engineering and will begin his studies this fall.
Mazur has a long history of academic excellence and was awarded with a prestigious Bradley Scholarship during his undergraduate studies. In addition to his studies he has conducted research to characterize and measure the power angle on synchronous machines to prevent inter-machine oscillations.
He interned multiple times with Rockwell Automation and has served a USSF Soccer official. He has also been named a national candidate in the U.S. Soccer Referee Program.
