Aaron Romano developed the Campus Dining Monitor app.
For his senior design project, Aaron Romano (CPE '11) worked with Virginia Tech Dining Services to develop a smartphone app that will allow students to browse menus and nutrition information on the go. The app, Campus Dining Monitor, will be officially released under the Dining Services Android Market account for fall semester 2011.
The app has been released in beta, and according to the Android Market site, "users can view full menus and nutritional information, view and track their favorite daily specials, count calories, and view the hours of operations of each dining hall."
Romano started working on this app in ECE 4564 during the fall 2010 semester, then extended it as a research project with ECE professor Jules White in spring 2011.
