Adedamola Omotosho

Biography: Adedamola Omotosho is a Senior undergraduate of the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He currently works with PhD Candidate Mehdi Nikkhah of the Virginia Tech MEMS laboratory and is researching ways to improve analysis of BioMEMS images with his ongoing development of an image analyzing algorithmic tool. He is currently a participant of the Ronald E. McNair Post baccalaureate program as well seeking admittance to pursue graduate studies as the recipient of a GEM fellowship for graduate study in Fall 2009 following an internship he will be conducting with Intel® summer 2009 . Amongst his numerous departmental awards Adedamola is also a Virginia Space Grant Consortium undergraduate research scholarship winner and will be presenting at the annual VSGC Student Research Conference and Luncheon that will be held on April 9, 2009 on the campus of Hampton University. Adedamola is actively involved at Virginia Tech as he is involved in the National Society of Black Engineers, VP Internal Affairs for the Student African American Brotherhood, as well as Recording Secretary of the Theta Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He has served as a Resident Advisor of West Ambler Johnston Hall, and is also a member of the IEEE. His hobbies include playing football, music, and programming. He has interest in artificial intelligence, software engineering, machine learning and robotics. He is looking to possibly pursue a graduate degree in Computer Science engineering or perhaps entering law school to study Patent Law.
