ECE: Electrical & Computer Engineering
Graduate Programs

Non EE/CPE Applicants
(and EE/CPE Switchers)

Students who do not have ECE backgrounds or are switching between EE and CPE provide a different perspective to their ECE studies. Applicants with different academic backgrounds are handled on an individual basis, but grade point average requirements are generally higher than for ECE graduates.

Students from programs such as physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering (other than electrical or computer), and other programs usually lack background in required ECE areas and must devise a program of make-up courses.

Details are available in the ECE Graduate Student Policy Manual.
