(fun pictures)
For this tutorial, inputs are set to AC coupling.
If you are probing TTL-compatible digital signals, you may want to use DC coupling and 1 or 2 volts per division vertical sensitivity.

INPUTS
Use the 1X probes provided in the CEL
For this tutorial, set the input to 1000 Hz, 200 mV P-P as described above.
If you are probing TTL-compatible digital signals, you may want to use DC coupling and 1 or 2 volts per division vertical sensitivity.

Adjust VERTICAL POSITION knobs to adjust voltage cursors to the top and bottom of CH1 waveform
Note that the voltage values are displayed on the right side of the LCD screen
TIME cursor
Adjust VERTICAL POSITION knobs to adjust time cursors to the top of two adjacent waveforms
Note that the period and frequency are displayed on the right side of the LCD screen
AUTOSET
No one would adjust an oscilloscope so no one else could use it, would they?
If you can't display a waveform, you can try
AUTOSET
AUTOSET will measure the input signals and attempt to display something meaningful
AUTOSET will NOT turn on a channel, so if you want both channels, turn them on before running AUTOSET
After running AUTOSET, adjust the oscilloscope to display what you want
