Distributing new Digilent Spartan S3E boards:
Instructions for CEL TAS:

1. Log onto your Zoho account.  You should not let anyone else use your machine when your account is active.
2. Students requesting a board should be asked to present their Hokie Passport and their Digilent receipt or receipt number.  Some may not have their receipt.  For those, please verify that their Hokie Passport credentials match the Digilent sales record exactly.

3.
The Digilent receipt will show the name of the person whose credit card purchased the board. This may not match the student's name. If you believe the student's explanation, write the student's name and any extra information in the Zoho "Notes" field.

4. In the Zoho Board Distribution page, look-up the student based upon the purchaser's last name and first name.  The Digilent receipt number will appear.  Check that this matches their receipt.

5. Pull a board out of the "S3E Pre-Paid Delivery" locker. Look for a yellow post-it note inside the box, which has a TA's name and date of testing the board.  If it is pre-tested, please explain to the student that the board's functionality has been verified. If the board is untested, test the board using these instructions:

Spartan S3E Board Test (zip)

and put your name and date on a post-it note (TA Supplies Locker) and place it inside the S3E box.

5a. If a S3E board fails the test, place it in locker 40, labeled "Fails Test, S3E boards".

6. Record both S3E board serial numbers (found on the back of the board) on the Zoho page.  Enter anything unusual in the "Notes" field.  Hit submit.  Please send a note to athanas@vt.edu if there is any questionable behavior in the record submission process.

7. Give the student his or her board.  Please inform the student that the board is static sensitive, and should remain in the protective pouch during transport. Also inform the student that the rotary knob is fragile, so the board should be transported inside its box or other protective case.
